Gerald Richardson

Ervin Gerald “Mutt” Richardson, 83, of Prosperity, died Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at Ascension Hospice in Irmo.

Born on December 23, 1925, in Prosperity, he was a son of the late Ervin David and Georgie Livingston Richardson. He was retired from Allied Chemical, a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Jollystreet Community Center.

Surviving is his wife, Doris Sligh Richardson and a daughter, Melba B. Compton of Travelers Rest.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2009, at St. Paul Lutheran Church by the Rev. Brent Nichols. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Visitation will be Thursday from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Building Fund, 2496 SC Highway 773, Pomaria, SC 29126 or to the charity of ones’ choice.
