Gladys Brock McKittrick, 94, of Chappells, widow of James Frank McKittrick died November 24, 2017 at White Oak Manor.

Born on September 3, 1923 in McCormick, she was a daughter of the late Reid Millard and Mary Elizabeth Brown Brock. She worked for Greenwood Mills then later worked and retired from Newberry County Memorial Hospital where she worked in the business office. She was a member of Little River-Dominick Presbyterian Church where she served the church faithfully in many capacities throughout her life.

She is survived by daughters, Gayle “Gaye” McKittrick (Thom Leach) of Newberry, and Gloria Owens (Keith) of Kinards; sisters, Evelyn James, Teeny Buchanan, Hazel Kidd (Ed Booth), and Peggy Haynie (Jimmy) all of Greenwood; a brother, Jimmy Brock (Brenda) of Ninety-Six;; sisters-in-law, June Brock of Greenwood, Myrtle Brock of Carollton, GA, and Irene Brock of Henderson, KY; a brother-in-law, Joe Langley of Gaston; grandchildren, David Guy (Stacy) of Kinards, Don Guy (Marian) of Silverstreet, Jamey Guy (Angie Fair) of Greenwood, Kitty Mayer (Scott) of Newberry, and Sydney Shealy (Nathan) of Prosperity; great-grandchildren, Brendon Guy (Amanda), Brittany Pitts (Justin), Riley Guy, Reid Guy, Camryn Shealy, Grace Mayer, Jonathan Shealy, and Micah Mayer; great-great-grandchildren, Danielle Guy and Madison Pitts; step-grandchildren, Donna Beard (Phil) of Raleigh, NC, Tom Leach, Jr. (Charlene) of Acworth, GA, and Neil Leach (Brandi) of Greenwood; step-great grandchildren Micah Leach, Kimberly Wilson (Tom) and Todd Leach, Andi Fair and Alex Fair; step-great-great-grandchildren, Nathan Wilson and Claire Wilson. She was predeceased by a sister, Catherine Langley and by brothers, Eugene Brock, Calhoun Brock, and Wesley Brock.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday at Little River-Dominick Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to the Memorial fund or Cemetery fund at Little River-Dominick Presbyterian Church, 8654 SC Highway 56, Kinards, SC 29355.
