Glenn "Tut" Long

Glenn Edwin “Tut” Long, 66, of Newberry, died Friday, December 2, 2022, at Lexington Medical Center.

Born on March 23, 1956, in Newberry, he was a son of Frances Shealy Long and the late Furman Long. He had served in the S.C. National Guard and was a member of Colony Lutheran Church. Mr. Long operated Mid Carolina Pumps.

He is survived in addition to his mother, Frances Long of Newberry by his wife, Ledale Roberts Long; a son, Corey Glenn( Selena) Long of Newberry; a daughter, Tiffany Long (Wade) Dawkins of Prosperity; sisters, Shirley Frick of Chapin and Julia Long of Newberry; a brother, Dial Long of Little Mountain and grandchildren, Lane Moore, Jordan Moore, Dantzler Long, Daylen Long, Preston Dawkins, Raine Long, Price Long and Drake Lucas. Mr. Long was predeceased by a daughter, Shandon Ledale Long and a sister, Brenda L. Freie.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Colony Lutheran Church Cemetery by the Rev. Michele Fischer. Visitation will be Monday, December 5, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Colony Lutheran Church, 48 Colony Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pallbearers will be Josh Long, John Long, William Brown, Clay Shealy, Josh Garrison and Johnny Long.
