Ira Bobb

Ira Lee Bobb, 89, of Joanna, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at his residence.

Born on August 31, 1923, in Newberry, he was a son of the late Astor and Cora Fulmer Bobb. He worked for Greenwood Mills and Whitten Center.

Mr. Bobb is survived by his wife of 71 years, Beatrice Bodie Bobb; sons, Jerald (Betty) Bobb of LaPorte, TX and James (Judy) Bobb of Rock Hill; a daughter, Shirley Rowe of Rock Hill; four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 23, 2013, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. James Shealy. Burial will follow in Bachman Chapel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00- 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Larry Bobb, Robert Earl Bobb, Robert Earl Franklin, Al Guest, Allen Neal and Tony Tinsley.
