Jamie Chinners

James Dale “Jamie” Chinners, Jr, 26, of Newberry, died Saturday, August 21, 2021, at his residence.

Born on April 13, 1995, in Charleston, he was a son of Mickey “Lee” and Tanya Beasley Barnett. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He authored Fire Angel and presently had another book in the process of being published and was working on writing his third.

Jamie is survived by his parents, Mickey “Lee” and Tanya Barnett; sisters, Peighton Barnett of Columbia, Kayla (Jase) Stieglitz of Columbia and Alexis Chinners of Summerville; brothers, Will Chinners of Newberry and Liam Barnett of Newberry; grandparents, Dana Herron of North Charleston and Mickey and Linda Barnett of Newberry. He was predeceased by grandparents, Charles Herron and Roy Beasley.

The family will hold a private Celebration of Life Service at a later date.
