Linda Jane Lominick Ringer, 83, of Newberry, widow of W. Wayne Ringer, died on Monday, August 3, 2026.
Born on December 27, 1942, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Olin Lominick, Sr. and Mary Folk Lominick. Jane graduated from Mid Carolina High School and Newberry College. She taught school for a couple of years and then worked for the Department of Social Services and the Red Cross. For a number of years she worked with her son-in-law with Smith Cleaning.
Jane was an active member of St. Philip’s Lutheran Church where she served as organist, choir director and handbell director. She was a member of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (WELCA) and the Joy Fellowship.
She was also active in the Woodmen Life where she had served as a National Representative. She received the Fraternalist of Year in 2022.
She is survived by her son, Woody (Kelly) Ringer of Newberry; a daughter, Audra (Stuart) Smith of Newberry; a sister, Dianne Lominick of Pomaria; brothers, Olin “Hub” (Ann) Lominick, Jr. of Pomaria and Bobby (Jennylee) Lominick of Newberry; a granddaughter, Katie Jane Smith; a grandson, William “Will” S. Smith, Jr., special nieces and nephews, Scott (Amber) Lominick, Connie (Tracey) Shirey, Chad Lominick and Jill Lominick and special friends, Wayne and Sandy Steffen and family.
Jane was predeceased by a brother, Chris Lominick.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church by the Rev. Terry Amick. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service.
