Janet Kyzer Ringer, 92, of Pomaria, widow of Edron O. Ringer, Jr., died Monday, November 29, 2021, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
Born on July 21, 1929, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Robert and Bessie Sanders Kyzer. She retired after 34 years from GE Mepco – Philips Components. Mrs. Ringer was a dedicated member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher, choir member and Lutheran Church Women President. She had been an active volunteer at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital since 1994 and had received the President Life Achievement Award for four thousand hours of volunteer service.
She is survived by a daughter, Dianne Ringer Horne( Aubrey Horne I); sisters, Ella Rae Barrineau (Jerry)of Silverstreet, Betty Ringer (Ralph) and Dorothy Livingston both Newberry; grandchildren, Aubrey Horne II (Tammie) and Regina Horne; great-grandchildren, Joshua Trujillo, Parker Horne, and Brysen Horne: special family, Barbie, Pete, Will & Chrissy Johnson; and her special caregiver, April Aughtry. She was predeceased by a son, Robert Ringer and siblings, Clara Richardson, Olin Kyzer, Carl Kyzer and Roy Kyzer.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 3, 2021, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church by the Rev. Arden Hallman and Rev. Steve Jackson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
