Jean Marie Rullman, 77, of Greenville, passed peacefully at home with her family, on Saturday, January 17, 2026. 

She was born on January 28, 1948, in Erie, Pennsylvania and spent her wonderful childhood running around outside with her best friend and cousin Sue. Jean attended Maryvale Primary and then Harding Elementary. She went to High School at Villa Maria Academy and then obtained a Bachelor's Degree as a Medical Technologist at Villa Maria College. After college, Jean completed her internship at Hamot Hospital in Erie.

Jean then moved to Miami, Florida with her sister Pat where she soon met her husband and settled down to have a family. She worked at Baptist Hospital in Miami for the remainder of her career. Jean retired at age 50 and moved with her husband and daughter to Columbia, South Carolina where she lived for almost twenty years. Jean and her husband Bill then moved to Greenville, South Carolina to be closer to her daughter.

Jean enjoyed reading, traveling, and trying different restaurants. She was a devoted grandmother to her only grandchild, Emma Grace.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mary Helen "Pat" Davis and John Shelton Davis; and her sister Patricia "Pat" Cox.

Jean is survived by her husband William "Bill" Rullman; her daughter Jennifer Bennett (Chris); her granddaughter Emma Grace Bennett; her sisters Janette Padera and Kathy Davis; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins that will miss her very much.

There will be no formal memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org or your local humane society.
