Jerry Francis Barrineau, 82, of Newberry, formerly of Charleston, died on September 16, 2026 at White Oak Manor.

Born on June 30, 1944 in Charleston, he was a son of the late Elmo Alonzo and Florence Estelle Daniels Barrineau. Jerry was a 1963 graduate of Bishop England High School. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and worked for many years at the Charleston Rifle Club. Jerry had a love for fishing. He also enjoyed playing softball, and he and his team were former winners of the April's Finest Championship.

He is survived by his wife, Ella Rae Kyzer Barrineau; a son, Dirk Barrineau; a daughter, Stephanie B. West; a step daughter, Donna (Dana) Werts; step-sons, Michael (Barbara) Summer and Steven Summer; special nieces and nephews who he was raised with, Davy, Anna Marie, Lisa, Brett, Keith, Gena, and Neal; 5 grandchildren; and a number of great and great-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by sisters, Joan Beckman and Elizabeth Floyd; brothers, Barry, Tommy,and Donnie; and by special nephew, Michael.
