Jerry had several interests outside of work. He was a Master Mason of the 32nd degree and was passionate about supporting various charitable causes including Tunnels to Towers, the Boys Farm and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Jerry's leadership qualities were widely admired by his colleagues who often reminisce about how he would tackle complex projects with ease while motivating the team to reach their goals within designated timelines. He led by example never asking anyone to do something that he wouldn't do himself.
