John Knowles

John Matthew Knowles, 56, of Pomaria, widower of Theresa Paul Knowles, died March 3, 2018 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on November 23, 1961 in Sanford, N.C., he was the son of Earl Ray Knowles and the late Judy Blue Harmon. He was a former employee of Thomas and Howard.

He is survived by his father, Earl Knowles; a stepson, Michael Cawley; an aunt, Linda Polk; and a cousin, Larry Polk.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 5, 2018 from 6:00 until 7:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1741, Greenwood, SC 29648.
