Johnny Gray Edwards, 71, of Prosperity, died Friday, May 9, 2014, at his residence.
Born on May 13, 1942, in Pinnacle, NC, he was a son of the late Robert Grayson and Kathryn Kirby Edwards. He was a retired heavy equipment operator.
Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife, Hope Rutledge Edwards; daughters, Melissa Hartwig and Tabatha Mabe; a brother, Garris Edwards, four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
No formal service is planned.
