Joshua Wayne Eason, 22, of Silverstreet, died on Saturday, September 5, 2026.

Born on March 4, 2004, in Newberry, he was a son of John Wayne Eason, Sr. and Lisa Marie Smith Eason. Joshua was a 2022 graduate of Newberry High School where he had played football and ran track. He was employed at Samsung and was a member of Smyrna Presbyterian Church. Joshua enjoyed working out at the gym and having tattoos.

He is survived by his father, John Eason, Sr., his mother, Lisa Eason; stepfather, Jason Long; sisters, Ashley Gray, Alexis Eason and Ariel Eason; brothers, John Eason, Jr. and Jonathan Eason and maternal grandparents, James and Betty Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Smyrna Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Jim Wilkerson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm.
