Joyce Dill

Joyce Wheat Dill, 80, of Newberry, died Sunday, October 12, 2014, at Newberry County Hospital.

Born on January 8, 1934 in Batesburg, she was a daughter of the late Mack and Margaret Legett Wheat. She was a member of the Old Time Holiness Mission.

Mrs. Dill is survived by her husband, Nathaniel Dill; a son, James Michael (Carol) Dill of Pickens; daughters, Deborah Joyce Platt of Greenville, Cathy Lynn Petit of Whitmire, Tina Dill-Sweatt of Gainsville, GA and Jeana Dill (John) Platts of Little Mountain; brothers, Edward Levon Wheat of Rock Hill and Gene Mack Wheat of Myrtle Beach and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Bonnie Crosby and a brother, Carl Duffy Wheat.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. A viewing and visitation will follow the service.
