Juanita Bedenbaugh Fulmer

Sara Juanita Bedenbaugh Fulmer, 86, of Prosperity, died Friday, November 11, 2022, at White Oak Manor.

Born on March 26, 1936, in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Wendell Grady and Sara Alice Kinard Bedenbaugh. She was a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church where she had served as President and was a Life Member of the WELCA, member of the Sunday School, Weekday Church School and a Vacation Bible School teacher for many years. Mrs. Fulmer was also a choir member, greeter, member of the church Goldies and the Altar Guild.

She had been active in the community as a member of the Fairview Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and had been very active in ICS and Manna House.

Mrs. Fulmer was known for her visiting, calling and checking in on the shut-ins and sick and for the sharing of her bread and muffins with many over the years. She always enjoyed singing “Happy Birthday” to family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Monroe E. Fulmer, Sr.; sons, Grady M. (Olivia) Fulmer, Charles B. (Gina) Fulmer both of Prosperity and Ernie (Patricia) Fulmer of Newberry; a daughter, Dorothy F. (Pat) Longshore of Prosperity; a brother, Wendell (Gloria) Bedenbaugh of Saluda; grandchildren, Ryan P. (Lauren) Longshore, Matthew B. (Tory) Longshore; Kathryn “Katy” L. (Kevin) Wood, John A. Fulmer, Aaron B. (Sherry Kay) Fulmer, Amanda “Mandy” F. (Jeremy) Handley, Cory T. (Brittani) Fulmer, Samuel B. (Mackenzie) Fulmer, Daniel S. Fulmer, Grant H. Mays, Carter C. Mays, Grace P. Fulmer and Elizabeth C. Fulmer; great-grandchildren, Elle Longshore, Rhett Longshore, Eliza Longshore, Collin Longshore, Paxton Wood, Lennox Wood, Kendrix Wood, Sullivan Fulmer, Tesla Handley, Anthem Handley, Eleanor Fulmer, Emery Fulmer and Ellie Fulmer. She was predeceased by brothers, David R. Bedenbaugh and Rev. Dr. J. Benjamin Bedenbaugh and a sister, Adella B. Summer.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Macedonia Lutheran Church by the Rev. Terry Hundley. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to Macedonia Lutheran Church, 49 Macedonia Church Road, Prosperity, SC 29127
