Kathy Stroud

d. February 10, 2019

Kathy Myers Stroud, 63, of Prosperity, widow of Eddie David Stroud, died Saturday, February 9, 2019 at her residence.

Born on April 9, 1955 in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late James Earl and Peggy Stribble Myers. Kathy was a graduate of Midlands Technical College and was an employee of the Newberry County Memorial Hospital for 39 years where she was the Director of Nursing for Outpatient Services and Maternal Child. She was a member of St. Philip's Lutheran Church where she served on the Church Council and was involved with WELCA. She was an avid Clemson fan. The greatest joy for Kathy was being “Mimi” to her grandchildren. She was looking forward to the addition of her next grandchild that is due in July.

Kathy is survived by a son, Shannon Stroud of Prosperity; daughters, Keli (Ryan) Dickert of Prosperity and Andrea (Stephen) Griffith of New Braunfels, TX; a sister, Julie M. (Adam) Smith of Newberry; a brother, David (Joyce) Myers of Newberry; grandchildren, Madisen Stroud, Emily Stroud, Ayden Dickert, Easton Dickert and Zeta Griffith.
