Katie Mae Murphy

Katie Mae Murphy, 71, of Little Mountain, widow of Eddie Murphy, died Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born on June 17, 1946, in Fairfax, VA. Mrs. Murphy was retired as a CNA from Fairfield Health Care Center in Ridgeway and attended Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a grandson who was reared in the home, Robert Gary; a son, David Gary of Newberry; daughters, Cora Gary of Winnsboro, Sandrua Gary of Newark, NJ, Mirian McClurkin of Columbia and Genel Kennedy of Winnsboro; sisters, Pearline Parker of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Mary Gary of Newark, NJ; fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and a host of other friends and relatives.
