Kay Frances Chandler, 70, of Prosperity, widow of Claude Robin Chandler, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, March 30, 2026, at her home.

Born on January 26, 1956, in Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth Jackson and Ethel Bertha Gordon Stull. Kay proudly served as a Corpman in the U.S. Navy. She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Criminal Justice. She worked for Newberry College for 23 years and was currently the Director of Online and Graduate Operations. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a daughter Stephanie Mae (Rex Allen) Wimberly; a son, Jonathan (Keisy) Macalister Beau Chandler; grandchildren, Rex Allen Wimberly II and Katelynn Mae Wimberly; grand-dog, Sadie Mae; nieces and nephews, Patrick Clary, Kim (Jim) Hock, Dee (Joe) Cooper and Doug (Ginger) Shaffer and a number of great-nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Donna (Don) Shaffer; a brother, Eric (Michelle) Stull; a sister-in-law, Jane (Frank) Clary.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Wiles Chapel on the Campus of Newberry College at a time to be announced.
