Keith Derrick

Keith Wayne Derrick, 65, of Newberry, died Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Palmetto Health Richland.

Born on February 21, 1948, he was the son of the late Homer B. and Catherine Martin Derrick. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from Newberry Feed and Seed Company. He was a member of College Street Baptist Church.

He is survived by daughters, Kristie Harrison and husband Robert of Prosperity, Kim Werts and husband Joe of Prosperity, and Brittany Derrick of Spartanburg; 4 grandchildren, Kaitlin Harrison, Hunter Werts, Collin Harrison, and Kassidy Harrison; and a special friend, Linda Folk.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 PM Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at College Street Baptist Church by the Rev. Chad Ashby. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to College Street Baptist Church, 3240 College Street Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pall bearers will be Toby Martin, Troy Martin. Rick Richardson, Jerry Richardson, Tommy Meeks, and Billy Dawkins.
