Kenneth Larry Morris

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth Larry Morris, a beloved brother, friend, and adventurer, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ken passed away on May 18, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, generosity, and unforgettable memories.

Ken’s love for life was infectious. A true sports enthusiast, he especially cherished football and everything related to Clemson University—from the games to the unforgettable tailgating moments with his closest friends and family. Whether cheering in the stands or hosting cookouts, Ken made every gathering a celebration.

Professionally, Ken dedicated his career to the nuclear industry, traveling extensively across the country to work at various facilities. He served with pride and skill as a crane operator and advanced rigging technician, always taking great care in his craft and building strong bonds with his colleagues. Ken was also a proud veteran of the United States Army, where he served with honor before beginning his civilian career.

Ken’s passion for socializing was matched only by his love for cooking. He found joy in firing up the grill and gathering those he loved around good food and great conversation. One of his favorite pastimes was relaxing by the pool at his best friend Joey’s house—an oasis where laughter was always guaranteed.

An avid traveler, Ken especially loved his time in Costa Rica, where he spent cherished moments between work assignments surrounded by his friends abroad. He had a sharp mind and a quick wit, always ready to dominate a round of trivia or answer nearly every question on Jeopardy! with impressive accuracy.

Never one to stay still for long, Ken was known for his boundless energy and restless spirit—always on the go, always ready for the next adventure. His presence lit up every room, and his absence leaves a space that cannot be filled.

Ken will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His stories, his laughter, and his love will remain forever in our hearts. He leaves behind two brothers, Steve (Heather) Morris of Newberry and David (Michelle) Morris of Little Mountain, as well as five beloved nieces and nephews, special friends in Costa Rica Angela, Sebastian and Steven, all of whom were deeply cherished by him.

A graveside memorial of friends and family will be held in Ken's honor Sunday, June 8, 2025 in the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
