Kevin T. Counts

Kevin Timothy Counts, 58, of Aiken, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025.

Mr. Counts was the younger son of Bobby and Betty Swygert Counts. Professionally, as a mechanical engineer, he had many years designing tools and solutions to problems at the Savannah River Site, most recently at the Savannah River National Laboratory. Personally, he was an old soul and worked tirelessly for his family, both at home, on the farm, and anywhere he was needed. When asked for a descriptor, his children chose that he was kind, and he was. He was a wonderful father, husband, son, and brother. He will be sorely missed.

Mr. Counts is survived by his wife, Kathryn Marshall Counts; a son, Glenn Counts; a daughter, Amanda Counts; mother, Betty Counts; father, Bobby Counts; brother, Steven Counts and sister-in-law, Hanneke Counts; nephews, John Counts and Andrew Counts and many extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church by the Rev. Steven Counts. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, 816 Mt. Tabor Road, Little Mountain, SC 29075 or to the charity of one's choice.

Active pallbearers will be Louis Marshall, Kenneth Marapese, George Swygert, Keith Counts, Andrew Counts and John Counts.
