Kristi Boland

Kristi Kay Boland, 38, of Pineville, SC, died Monday, October 4, 2010, at her residence after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born on April 15, 1972, in Newberry, she was a daughter of James and Kay McPhatter Boland. Ms. Boland was a graduate of Clemson University and was a Principal Engineer with Santee Cooper. She received her Professional Engineer License in 2008 and was a member of I.E.E.E. She attended Point North Church in Moncks Corner.

Surviving in addition to her parents of Little Mountain is her fiancé, Robert Luhrs of Pineville; a brother, Craig H. (Annette) Boland of Little Mountain; maternal grandmother, Evelyn Gray of Newberry; niece, Jennifer Boland and nephew, Christopher Boland and special pets, Pepper, Cooper and Fred.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 7, 2010, at Chapin Baptist Church by the Rev. Rick Jones and Rev. Phillip Vaughn. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
