Larry "Bull" Morris

Larry Allen "Bull" Morris, 78, of Prosperity, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at his home.

Born on February 19, 1947, in Newberry County, he was a son of the late Elbert and Louise Williams Morris. He served in the U.S. Army in the security agency during the Vietnam War. Larry's professional career spanned thirty-three years with AT&T where he was a switch technician. He was a Mason, Shriner, and a member of the York Rites.

Larry was a member of the Cracker Club of which he was the last surviving founding member. He enjoyed quail hunting, fishing and along with his wife and other family and friends enjoyed sailing the seas on a number of cruise adventures.

He is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, Thelma Minick Morris; a son, Justin Legrand (Vivian) Morris of Prosperity; grandchildren, Landon Morris, Kailey Morris, Lawson Morris and Justin Morris, Jr. and two great-grandchildren, Lilly Ryann Morris and Cody Hayes Morris.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 6, 2025, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jason Schafer and Rev. Bobby Morris. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. 

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
