Betty Ledale Roberts Long, 69, of Newberry, widow of Glenn Edwin Long, died on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at her home.

Born on July 22, 1956, in Monroe, NC, she was a daughter of the late Rev. R. J. Roberts and Betty Jo Horton Roberts. Ledale retired from ISE America. She was a member of Colony Lutheran Church and attended Cross Point Church.

She is survived by a son, Corey (Selena) Long of Newbery; a daughter, Tiffany L. (Wade) Dawkins of Prosperity; a brother, Mark (Deah) Roberts of Newberry and was affectionately known by her grandchildren who survive as Mam-Ma, Lane (Kacie) Dawkins, Jordan Dawkins, Dantzler Long, Daylen Long, Preston Dawkins, Raine Long, Price Long and Drake Lucas. She was predeceased by a daughter, Shandon Long.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Cross Point Church by the Rev. Jeff O’Dell. Burial will follow in Colony Lutheran Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 – 7:30 p at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
