L essie Koon Long, 95, of Pomaria, widow of Robert Long, passed away July 9, 2018 at her residence.

Born on January 29, 1923 in Pomaria, she was a daughter of the late Eusbius H. and Lula Mae Bowers Koon. She worked at Old School Manufacturing and retired from Damon International. She was a faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and was the oldest member. She loved her church family.

She is survived by daughters, Ann L. Ringer of Pomaria and Janet (J.L.) Lindler of Chapin; a son-in-law, Jim Lindler of Chapin; Grandchildren, Pamela (Michael) Shroup, Craig (Bonnie) Lindler, Chris (Renee) Lindler, and Marc (Nicole) Lindler; great-grandchildren, Nick Shealy and fiance, Ashley Carver, Katie Lindler, Jamie Lindler, Christian Shroup, Lanea Shroup, Bethany Lindler, Caroline Lindler, and Lawson Lindler; great-great-grandchildren, J.R. And Natalie Shealy. She was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Lindler; a son-in-law, Hoyt Ringer; a grandson, Jeff Lindler; and brothers, Lolan, Eric, Eldridge, and Rupert Koon.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church by the Rev. Arden Hallman. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at her residence and will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 7:30 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Building Fund, 209 New Hope Road, Pomaria, SC 29126.

Active pall bearers will be, Travis Fulmer, Jimmy Bonner, Mike Goodman, Aubrey Horne, Tommy Griffin, and Rusty Griffin.

Honorary pall bearers will be Dr. Carroll Pinner, Dr. Ben Pinner and members of MSA Hospice.
