Lilyan Hendrix Wilson Derock, 76, of Newberry, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at White Oak Manor.

Born on January 14, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Otis and Edna Earle Wilson.

Lilyan was a strong and faithful Christian woman who loved her Lord, and would make a point to read her Bible every morning without fail. She was a very independent woman and held strongly to her traditional values. Lilyan loved to read and write poetry, and even kept a book of her poems that she had written over time. She also enjoyed antiquing and spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly.

Lilyan is survived by her daughter, Susan McCullough; grandchildren, Cody (Summer) Rogers and Cheyenne McCullough; great-grandchildren, Shiloh and Hudson Rogers; sisters, Ora Mae Goff and June W. Carson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Buck Wilson and Sonny Wilson, and sisters, Judy Jolly and Sandra Gilliam.

No formal services will be held.
