Linda Bedenbaugh

Linda Hancock Bedenbaugh, 76, of Prosperity, died Thursday, September 10, 2009 at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

Born on January 16, 1933 in Dobson, NC, she was a daughter of the late William Escar and Lucille Pugh Hancock. She was a 1955 graduate of Erskine College and retired as a teacher from Rikard Middle School. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Lydia Bible Class. She was a member of the Prosperity Literary Sorosis.

Surviving is her husband of 53 years, David E. Bedenbaugh; sons, Boyd Bedenbaugh of Newberry and Mike Bedenbaugh of Prosperity; grandchildren, Carson, Jacob, Jonah and Maggie Bedenbaugh and step-grandchildren, Audrey and Jonathon Hille.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. Lowry Drennen. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
