Linda Rowe

Linda Johnson Rowe, 79, of Newberry, widow of Bobby “Stump” Rowe, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Newberry Health.

Born on August 8, 1946, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late George Andrew and Eva Mae Pitts Johnson. Linda retired from Shakespeare and worked for several years at Pomaria Garmany Elementary. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and attended Cross Point Church. She was a past member of the Newberry Roadrunners.

Linda is survived by a daughter, Tammy (David) Eubanks of Newberry; a son, Kevin Rowe of Newberry; a sister, Alice Moore of Newberry; a brother, Olin Johnson of Silverstreet; a grandson, Alex Eubanks and a great-granddaughter, Sadie Eubanks.

She was predeceased by sisters, Nell Taylor and Rebecca Bundrick and brothers, Billy Johnson and Herman Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, September 15, 2025, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jeff O'Dell and Mr. Lewis Lee. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home chapel on Monday from 2:00 – 3:00 pm.

Active pallbearers will be Johnny Pitts, Jr., Andy Taylor, Russell Berry, Alex Eubanks, Carey Sligh, and Derek Sligh.

Honorary pallbearers will be Faye Morris, Candace Lominick, Jodi Garrett, Denise Berry, Bridget Bouknight, Beverly Pitts and Johnny Pitts.
