Linda
Wedaman
October 20, 1950 – March 30, 2026
Linda Long Wedaman, 75, of Pomaria, widow of George David Wedaman, passed away on March 30, 2026, at Springfield Place.
Born on October 21, 1950, in Newberry, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Rebecca Lindler Long.
In her professional career, she served as a devoted customer service representative for BellSouth (AT&T), helping countless customers navigate issues both large and small. Her reliability and caring approach made her a trusted voice, and she was often specifically requested by customers seeking her assistance.
Linda was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
She found the greatest joy in life in the time she spent spoiling her grandson, Holt, always being sure to have a special treat, shirt or hot wheels car for him. She took great joy in writing cards to friends and loved ones, always keeping others in her thoughts.
Linda is survived by her son, Jonathan David (Alyssa) Wedaman of Pomaria; brothers, Carroll Long of Newberry and Steven Long and James Long both of Pomaria; a grandson, Holt Wedaman.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Arden Hallman. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pomaria Rescue Squad, PO Box 192 Pomaria, SC 29126.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Springfield Place for the compassionate and professional care they provided to her over the past several years.
