Lona Kinard Shore, 72, of Prosperity, died on Friday, September 25, 2026, at her home.

Lona was born on October 26, 1953, to the late William Luther Kinard and Connie Boozer Kinard. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. Lona was a huge Gamecock fan and watched as many of their football games as she could. She loved her home and enjoyed the simple things in life. One of her favorite things to do was sit on the porch and watch the birds fly by.

Lona is survived by her sons, Alan Harrison of Prosperity and Jeremy (Heather) Harrison of Leesville; sister, Linda Mossmayer of Prosperity; brother, Eddie (Phyllis) Kinard of Hamlet, NC; and granddaughter, Brier Harrison.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her son, Joey Harrison; sister, Dorothy Kinard; and brother, Bill Kinard.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 6:30 pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
