Lurleen Buzhardt Seybt, 93, of Pomaria, died Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at her home.
Born on November 21, 1928, in Prosperity, she was the daughter of the late Leland Vance Buzhardt and Eula Wicker Buzhardt. She retired from Roses after 38 years of bookkeeping. She was an avid gardener. Her yard always was kept looking like a picture in Southern Living. Mrs. Seybt was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church for over 74 years. She had an unwavering love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her beloved son, Larry William Seybt (Marilyn) of Pomaria; grandchildren, Stephanie (Mark) Osada, Larry William Seybt, Jr. (Brooke), Bryan McGlohorn (Debbie) and Jonathan McGlohorn (Delphine); great-grandchildren, Blake McGlohorn, Emily McGlohorn, Olivia McGlohorn, Lucas Osada, Eliza Osada, Brady Seybt, Leighton Seybt, Elliott McGlohorn and Margot McGlohorn. She was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, George William Seybt, Jr. and was the last surviving sibling having been predeceased by a brother, Johnny Buzhardt and sister, Sadie Morris.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday, April 21, 2022, at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2496 SC Highway 773, Pomaria, SC 29126.
Active pallbearers will be Andy Bouknight, Donna Buzhardt, Jeramy Harris, Blake McGlohorn, Bryan McGlohorn, Will Seybt, Keith Harris and Alex Dowd.
The family would like to thank Homestead Palliative Care, her sitters, Anna Wicker, Cathy Shealy and Alison Manning and also Betty Pelletier and Chapin Family Practice for their loving care.
