Margaret "Maggie" Foster

Margaret Allison “Maggie” Foster, 80, of Newberry, died Wednesday, June 9, 2021at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on October 29, 1940 in Cumberland, MD, she was a daughter of the late Gabriel Harrison and Harriet Bridges Allison. She retired from South Carolina Bank and Trust and was a charter member of Hope Lutheran Church in Vance, SC. She was a Past Worthy Matron with the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved spending time in the swimming pool and was a great cook. Maggie loved her family and friends dearly and was accepting of all people.

She is survived by her husband, David Scott Foster; a son, Steve (Shelby) Eyre of Newberry; a daughter, Charlene (Fred) McManus of Lexington; a step-daughter, Carmen (Chet) Snouffer of Delaware, OH; a sister, Carolyn Clayton of Cumberland, MD; a brother, Jim Allison of Harrisburg, PA; grandchildren, Lucy Floyd, Rick McManus, Sarah McManus, Ryan Vikan, Jeremy Vikan, Cody Snouffer, Lydia Bush, and Lyssi Snouffer; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Carl Allison.

A celebration of life will be held in Cumberland, MD at a later date.
