Margie Peer

Margie Ruth Puckett Peer, 62, of Prosperity, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at her residence.

Born on October 1, 1949, in Whitmire, she was a daughter of the late John D. and Florence Littlejohn Puckett. She was a member of the Newberry Church of God.

Mrs. Peer is survived by her husband, Thomas Peer; a son, Casey Scott Morgan of Hickory, NC; a daughter, Misty Darlene Wicker of Newberry; a step-son, Cliff Peer of Eutawville; a step-daughter, Shawna Peer of St. Petersburg, FL; a sister, Ella Mildred Champion of Newberry; grandchildren, Christopher Scott Reeves and Robyn Danielle Reeves; step-grandchildren, Keely Sherrin and Devin Delgado. She was predeceased by a son, Johnny Boyd Wicker and a sister, Dorothy Mae Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Newberry Church of God by the Rev. Michael Shirley. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
