Maria Socorro Ramirez De Serrano

Maria Del Socorro Ramirez De Serrano, 83, of Newberry, widow of Gerardo Serrano, died Thursday, February 24, 2022, at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on March 18, 1938, in San Luis Potosi, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, she was a daughter of the late Santiago Ramirez and Santiaga Gonzales. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church.

She is survived by a son, Francisco Serrano and daughters, Maria Leticia Serrano, Blanca Esthela Serrano, Marisela Serrano, Guadalupe Serrano, Maria Del Socorro and Maria Celia Serrano; a brother and sisters and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A wake will be held at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, February 27, 2022, beginning at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 11:00 am at St. Mark's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
