Marion Gruber

Marion Gruber, 80, of Newberry, died Saturday, August 10, 2013, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Newberry, he was a son of the late Ernest Hugh Gruber, Sr. and Eugenia Peigler Gruber. He was retired from the State Department of Education and later as a employee of Fort Jackson.

Mr. Gruber is survived by his wife, Ruby Carroll L. Gruber; step-daughters, Wendy Riley of Newberry and Sandra Lemay of Silverstreet; sisters, Irene Jeffers of Lexington and Pauline Singley of Pomaria and a brother, Ernest Gruber, Jr. of Wilmington, NC. He was predeceased by his first wife, Inez Chavis Gruber.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, August 17, 2013 at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel.
