Mark Walters

Mark Allan Walters, 46, of Prosperity, died Saturday, August 20, 2011, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on April 20, 1965, in Portland, OR, he was a son of Michael H. Walters and Patricia Marler Buffington. He was a member of Crossroads Christian Fellowship in Joanna.

Mr. Walters is survived by his wife, Geneva Lewis Walters; his father, Michael H. Walters of Oregon City, OR; his mother, Patricia Buffington of Portland, OR; brothers, Brian Walters of Portland, OR and Douglas Walters of Salem, OR.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at Crossroads Christian Fellowship by the Rev. H. Woodrow Wilson and Mr. Kenny Hill. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Crossroads Christian Fellowship, PO Box, 36, Joanna, SC 29351.
