Martha Brown Taylor, 85, formerly of Palm Coast, FL, died Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at her daughters home at Lake Murray.

Born on July 20, 1940, in Beaufort, SC, she was a daughter of the late Richard W. and Nelva Adams Brown.

Martha retired from Eastman Kodak in Rochester, NY and moved to Palm Coast, FL after retiring.

Martha is survived by a son, Christopher Sligh; daughters, Nelva Sligh of Palm Coast, FL and Tammy Sligh of Prosperity; a sister, Ruth B. Hamm of Prosperity; sister-in-law, Janet Brown of Prosperity; nine grandchildren and fourteen grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Taylor, sisters, Peggy (Dick) Stepp, Barbara (Frank) Lyerly and Linda (Vic) Kelley and a brother, Tommy Brown.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel.
