Edna Marvoureen Farmer Morris, 90, of Newberry, widow of James Otto Morris, died Saturday, July 12, 2025.
Born on January 8, 1935, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late John Edward and Essie Butler Farmer. She had worked at Anderson Shoes and Damon International. Marvoureen was an active member of Glenn Street Baptist Church where she was involved with the WMU and was a former Sunday School teacher.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra (John) Tucker of Newberry; a sister, Sheila Harmon of Newberry; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Morris of Newberry; a granddaughter, Heather (Thor) Colberg; granddaughter-in-law, Melanie Harmon; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, four step-great grandchildren and two step-great-great grandchildren.
Maurvoureen was predeceased by a daughter, Kay Harmon, a son, Timothy Morris, a grandson, Matthew Harmon and seven siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Glenn Street Baptist Church by the Rev. Keith Stott. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Glenn Street Baptist Church on Wednesday from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm.
Memorials may be made to Glenn Street Baptist Church, 300 Glenn Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
Active pallbearers will be Gregg Harmon, Sr., Kevin Harmon, Robert Harmon, Thor Colberg, Gage Colberg and Brock Colberg.
