Mary Alice Metts Frick, 96, of Little Mountain, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at her residence.

Born on May 21, 1930, in Little Mountain, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Lester and Cleo Boland Metts. She was a stay-at-home wife and mother. She was a lifelong and active member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church. For several years, she served as a teacher or assistant teacher in all the various schools of the church. As long as her health permitted, she loved being outside working in the garden, tending to her flowers, and sitting on the porch watching the hummingbirds. She also loved going on bus trips with George and their friends. Her home was always filled with love, the smell of home cooked meals and jars of vegetables she canned during the summer. One of her greatest joys was babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary Alice was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, George Edgar Frick. She is survived by a son, Randy Frick (Susan), daughters, Lynn (Paul) Shealy, and Karen (Warren) Davis all of Little Mountain. Five grandchildren, Amy (Daniel) Wicker, Miranda (Kevin) Shealy, Brandon (Marie) Shealy, Katie (Daniel) Werts, and Kristin (Brad) Shealy. Twelve great-grandchildren; Emma (Justin Hedgepath), Julianne and Brendan Wicker, Gracen, Grant and Ellarie Shealy, Addie, Brantley & Bruce Shealy, Georgia Kate Werts, and Karley and Davis Shealy. She was predeceased by a brother, Everett (Janice) Metts and a daughter-in-law, Brenda L. Frick.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Mount Tabor Lutheran Church by the Reverend Steve Counts and Reverend Cathy Fanslau, followed by burial service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.

Active pallbearers will be her grandson and grandsons-in-law.
