Mary Miller Beck Ackerman, 87, of Newberry, died on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at her home.

Born on December 6, 1938, in she was the daughter of the late Alfonso and Sara Wertz Miller. Mary was a graduate of Newberry High School and had worked at WKDK and retired from Lester Accounting. She was a member of Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church and attended Cross Point Church.

She is survived by a son, Ronnie (Amelia) Beck; grandchildren, Brad (Ann) Beck, Kelly (Wayne) Perry, Nathan (Olivia) Beck, Britley Beck and Roy (Rosa) Bundrick; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Slade) Hiter, Brenna Perry, Adrienne Beck, Ashtyn (Erik) Taylor, Nathan Beck, Jr., Eithan Perry, Jayden Beck, Jamie Bundrick, Brady Beck and Casey Shealy and one -great-grandchild.

Mary was twice married, first to the love of her life the late Wayne Beck and secondly, to the late Clyde Ackerman. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Traci Bundrick; brothers, Gerald Miller and Joe Miller; sister, Dot Miller and great-grandchildren, Jesse Bundrick and Stephanie Bundrick.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, August 24, 2026, at Cross Point Church by the Rev. Jeff O’Dell. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm at the church.

Active pallbearers will be Mike Holsonback, Brad Beck, Nathan Beck, Wayne Perry, Nate Beck, Jr., Eithan Perry, Roy Bundrick and Brady Beck.
