Mary L. Cockrell

Mary Louise McKay Cockrell, 81, of Saluda, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Self Memorial Regional Hospital.

Born on January 29, 1943, in Lexington, she was a daughter of the late James Perry McKay and  Sally Boatwright Murrell.  She was a member of Emmanuel Holiness Church.

Mrs. Cockrell is survived by her husband, Allie Cockrell; sons, James Allen (Claudia) Cockrell of Laurens and Tim Allie (Brenda) Cockrell of Edgefield; daughters, Peggy Cockrell and Mary Anne (Brooks) Morgan both of Edgefield and Barbara Vaughn of Cumberland City, TN; a sister, Martha Jean McDonald of Edgefield; brothers, J.W. McKay and Jimmy McKay both of Edgefield; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Little Angels Memorial Park by the Rev. Burton Campbell.
