Mary Ellen Berley

Mary Ellen Berley, 80 years old, widow of Edward Berley, passed away on March 1 ^st , 2020.

Born on November 4, 1939 in Edgefield, she was the daughter of the late Henry Gary and Sadie Yonce Berry. Mrs. Berley was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methdoist Church in Pomaria. She enjoyed working with crafts, raising her many fur-babies and being on Lake Murray. Mr.s Berley was a very devoted wife and loving mother, who enjoyed her family.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy (Donna) Berley of Pomaria; her daughter, Teresa Berley (Mark) of Prosperity; a sister, Betty (Willard) Nash of Peak; a brother, Henry (Elaine) Berry of Aiken; a brother -in-law, James “Dimp” Berley of Greenwood and grandchildren, Candace Stockman, Whitney Smith, Abby Lindler, Jessica Odom, Brandon Berley and Martin Summer. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Joe Berry and a sister, Carolyn Hartsoe.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery by Pastor Darlene Kelley. Visitation will follow the service in the Reese Building of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, 2360 Mt. Pleasant Road, Pomaria, SC 29126.
