Mary Jane McFate

Mary Jane Moore McFate, 75, of Newberry, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at her home.

Born on March 9, 1948, in Elberton, GA, she was a daughter of the late George William and Lucy Mae Atkins Moore.  Mrs. McFate was the retired manager of Days Inn in Newberry.

She is survived by her sons, Charles Smith, Duncan (Christy) McFate and Art (Shannon) McFate; daughters, Samantha (Wayne) Rucker, Nikki (Richard) Cofer and Elizabeth McFate; sisters, Jackie Moore Hall, Judy Moore Seigler and Bonnie Moore Sheppard; thirty grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren. 

Mrs. McFate was predeceased by husbands, Jim Warren, Mark Nation and Wade McFate and her siblings, Dorothy Lee McCoy, George Milton Moore, William Dalton Moore and John Hillard Moore.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home by Pastor Dan Lewis.
