Michelle E. Sherman

Michelle Elyse Sherman, 52, of Newberry, died Monday, February 14, 2022, at Self Regional HealthCare.

Born on October 3, 1969, in Poplar Bluff, MO, she was the daughter of Michael Bouknight and Carol Erbar Higgins. She was employed with the Beckman Center for Mental Health Services in Greenwood.

Ms. Sherman is survived in addition to her parents, Michael (Nellene) Bouknight and Carol Higgins by a son, Zackary (Rachel) Sherman; daughters, Brittany (James N.) Hazel and Jessica (Cody) Williams; a sister, Olivia Happ; brothers, Steven Happy, L.J. Boatwright and Jeremiah Boatwright and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, Februar6y 18, 2022, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jimmy Counts. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:30 – 1:30 pm Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Beckman Center for Mental Health Services, 1547 Parkway, Greenwood, SC 29646.

Active pallbearers will be Tammy Kunkle, Zackary Sherman, Cody Williams, Cecil Gammon, J.C. Hazel and Bill Anderson.
