Stephen Michael (Mike) Eargle,71, of Chapin, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family after a long but courageous battle with Leukemia. Mike is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 51 years, Darleen Amick Eargle. A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 3pm at Bethel Baptist Church in Prosperity. Visitation will immediately follow the service. Reverend Mike Townsend will be officiating.

Mike was born on March 18, 1950 in Columbia, SC to the late Claude Von Eargle and Miriam Campbell Eargle. He graduated from Airport High School and worked at Ellett Brothers as IT Director until his retirement in 2017. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and Gideon International. Mike was a devoted husband and servant of the Lord. He loved going on motorcycle trips with dear friends (who were like family) Richard and Lynne Fulmer. He also enjoyed cruising and mountain trips with family.

Along with his wife, Darleen, Mike leaves behind sisters Lois McMillan, Claudia Kirkland, Debbie Stanley and Kathy (Jerry) Roland; sisters in law Lucy Jackson, Linda (Zane) Stoudemire and Patsy Paul; brothers in law Johnny Amick, Carroll Amick, Danny Ray Amick and Tom McMillan; special "adopted" brother JR Lindler; several nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews, cousins and friends. He loved all of them very much and was a great influence in their lives. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mike's name to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, PO Box 735317, Dallas, TX 75373-5317 or Gideons International, PO Box 795, Newberry, SC 29108. The family would like to thank Dr. Coker with SC Oncology and his staff for all of their wonderful care provided to Mike. We would also like to thank the ladies at Lexington Medical Center Infusion Center.
