Nancy West

Nancy Lindsey West, 86, of Prosperity, widow of Grover Frank West, died Sunday, March 6, 2022, at her residence.

Born on October 10, 1935, in Greer, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Worthy and Minnie Reid Lindsey. She retired from Jackson Mills after 42 years of service and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Greer. Mrs. West loved her family especially her grandchildren. Her interest were gardening, fishing, reading, playing board games such as Domino's and Bunko and watching game shows on the television.

Mrs. West is survived by a son, Steve F. (Debbie) West of Boiling Springs; daughters, Teresa (Darrell) Whitaker of Taylors and Sandy (Morris) Head of Starr; a sister, Sarah Hindman of Greer; grandchildren, Kimberly (Josh) Blackwell, Rebecca (Jeremy) Nix, John (Cannon) Whitaker, Anna Whitaker and Lindsey Head and great-grandchildren, Harmony Nix, Benjamin Nix, Daniel Nix, Connor Blackwell, Adly Whitaker and Kinsley Blackwell. She was predeceased by sisters, Cathlee Coleman, Thelma Cantrell, Wilma Lindsey and Sally Brady and brothers, Layton Lindsey, Roy Lindsey, Tommy Lindsey and Charlie Lindsey.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Greer. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
