Nick Nichols

Walter Waddy “Nick” Nichols, Jr., 44, of Newberry, died Saturday, November 7, 2009 at his residence.

Born on May 1, 1965, in Newberry he was a son of Minnie Culclasure Nichols and the late Walter Waddy Nichols, Sr. He was the former owner of Chapin Verizon Wireless and a member of Epting Memorial United Methodist Church. Mr. Nichols was a graduate of Newberry High School and attended Newberry College.

Surviving in addition to his mother is a sister, Susie Berry of Newberry and a nephew, Brian Berry.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at Epting Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. David Inman. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Epting Memorial United Methodist Church Mission Fund or General Fund, 1401 Milligan Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
