Otis David Bobb, 82, of Chapin, widower of Betty Ruth Abney Bobb, died Thursday, November 2, 2017, at St. Mary's Memory Care in Athens, Georgia.

Born on August 29, 1935 in Prosperity, he as a son of the late Johnny and Emma Mae Johnson Bobb. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, the owner of Carolina Parts and a member of Lake Murray Presbyterian Church.

He spent his last days declining from dementia, but only in the last few years did he loose those key facets of his personality. After moving to Highland Hills Memory Care, he was cared for by a talented staff of nurses and caregivers who helped his family make his remaining days safe and peaceful. Although his mind left long before his body succumbed, his memory lives on as a giving father and faithful friend.
