Pamela Petry

Pamela Ellen Petry, 81, of Newberry, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at National Health Care in Clinton. 

Born on November 14, 1943, in Minneapolis, MN, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Marcella Trom Bloomberg. Pam worked as a substitute teacher for the Newberry County School district for a number of years. She was a member of St. Philip's Lutheran Church where she was involved with the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (WELCA).

She is survived by her husband, Richard James Petry; a son, Daniel Walck (Jeanine) of Liberty; a step-son, Troy Petry (Tina) of Minneapolis, MN; a step-daughter, Bonnie VanEss of Wanamingo, MN and six grandchildren. Pam was predeceased by her first husband, David R. Walck. 

Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Men in Mission of St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 2461 St. Philip's Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108.
