Patricia “Pat” Q. Malcom, age 91, of Silverstreet, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2026, at White Oak Manor. She was born in Neosho, Missouri on April 20, 1934, to the late William “Pat” and Ethel Peters Queener.
Pat was retired from Carter and Holmes. She was a devoted member of Silverstreet Lutheran Church, where she found great joy in singing in the choir. She also shared her love of music as a member of the Newberry Community Choir. Her faith, kindness, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Jack Malcom; her brother, Jim Queener; and her son-in-law, Mike Davis.
Pat was lovingly known as Mother to her six children who survive her: sons, Eddie Malcom of Newberry and Harry Malcom of Silverstreet; and daughters, Nellie (David) Farmer of Saluda, Mary (Mike) Willingham of Newberry, Margaret Davis (Alvin Berry) of Saluda of Saluda, and Nancy (Tugg) Ruff of Prosperity. Grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to her family, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her memory will live on in the lives of all who knew and loved her.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons, JC Waldrop, Justin Waldrop, Cory Malcom, Garrett Malcom, Adam Crouch and Cameron Lybrand.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Silverstreet Lutheran Church Cemetery with Vicar Bob Dernbach officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall of Silverstreet Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Silverstreet Lutheran Church, 120 Long Street, Silverstreet, SC 29145.
The family wants to express gratitude to Lovelace Family Practice and White Oak Manor for the loving care they gave their Mother during her stay.
